How to source products from China: compare before you commit
The same product is usually made by dozens of factories and resold by hundreds of traders. Prices for the same spec can differ a lot, and the cheapest listing is often the one with the thinnest material or the longest lead time.
A product sourcing agent is useful when you want someone on the ground to compare those options in Chinese, check who actually makes the goods and tell you what the landed cost looks like before you commit.

A link from Amazon, Alibaba or 1688, a photo, or a description. Add quantity and destination if you know them.
Step 2
We search and shortlist
We look on 1688 and Alibaba and in the Yiwu market. If you only have a photo, we use image search.
Step 3
We contact suppliers in Chinese
We confirm specs, MOQ, lead time and price directly with each shortlisted supplier.
Step 4
You get a landed-cost quote
Usually three options, each with the supplier price, freight, duty and VAT estimates, and our fee.
Step 5
Samples if you want them
Order samples from one or more suppliers and compare them before committing.
Step 6
Order when you approve
Nothing is paid to any supplier until you approve the quote in writing.

Price
Free quote, then 5% of goods
The quote costs nothing. If you order, the service fee is 5% of goods on the first $5,000, 4% up to $20,000 and 3% above that, minimum $49 per order. No markup on supplier prices.
What if I only have a photo?
That is fine. We run image searches on 1688 and Alibaba and confirm matches with suppliers before quoting.
Do you only source from 1688?
No. We use 1688 because its prices are often lower, but we also work with factories on Alibaba and suppliers in the Yiwu market.
How many suppliers do you compare?
Usually three in the quote. We look at more than that and drop the ones that fail basic checks.
Can you handle custom or private label products?
Yes, for logos, packaging and small changes to existing products. Fully new product development is quoted case by case.
