When to use it
Use it before you pay a supplier. It matters most when the product has a battery or a brand logo.
It also helps when a marketplace or 3PL has refused a product and you want to see why.
Where the rules live
These official pages show where a rule starts. They don't prove that one 1688 product can be imported or sold.
- FDA regulated-products import guidanceOfficial page for product and destination rules.
- EU Safety GateOfficial page for product and destination rules.
- GOV.UK product safety lawOfficial page for product and destination rules.
- Singapore controlled and prohibited goodsOfficial page for product and destination rules.
Your exact product and its HS code still decide the outcome, along with your route.
Restricted products FAQ
Can you source toys or baby products?
No. We don't source toys or baby products, even when the supplier has test reports.
Can Supplymo buy branded products from 1688?
Only with written permission from the brand owner. We don't handle copied or unclear brands.
Can Supplymo buy cosmetics or skincare?
Sometimes. We need the ingredient list and the label. The rules where you sell also have to allow it.
Can Supplymo ship batteries, liquids, powders or magnets?
Maybe. We check them by hand first. A carrier or customs can still refuse them.
Does "Needs a closer look" mean the product is safe to sell?
No. It means we need more facts before we say yes or no.
Who is responsible for compliance?
You are, as the importer. That covers customs and your marketplace's rules.
